Come watch and learn as Bruno Kark demonstrates wheel techniques for making really big work: dry-pound-centering large amounts of clay, stacking multi-sectional forms, and other techniques to GO BIG!

He'll demonstrate multi-part cylinders, a huge platter, and possibly other forms.

Then Bruno will assist you to double, triple (or more) the size you can throw!

The first half of the day will feature Bruno talking and demo-ing. Then following a short lunch break, students will get down to work for the second half of the day, under Bruno's supervision.

Cost: $100 for PS members/students | $125 for others

Clay will be available for purchase (we stock 10 kinds of high-fire commercial clay or you can bring your own). Bruno's main clay is Soldate 60. Firing can be done (depending on the size) at the regular member rate, though we cannot guarantee we'll be able to fire your piece if it's too big. Also, it's possible that we will not be able to fire extra large pieces until after the holidays, as our weekly firing capacity hits its limit in the busy Oct.-Dec. season.
