In this workshop, we'll explore an improvisational approach to sculpting the figure in clay. Techniques of building solid and then hollowing will be emphasized. Each step of the creative process will be covered, from ideation through construction. Surface development and firing methods will also be covered. This class is hands on! All skill levels are welcome, beginning through advanced.

SF Bay Area artist Michelle Gregor creates sculpture in high-fire ceramic and bronze. Her work has been described as lyrical, graceful, and spiritual. Her figurative sculptures are in many private collections. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of California, Santa Cruz and Master of Fine Arts degree from San Francisco State University.
