Maija Scholarship Annual Update
In 2023, The Potters’ Studio awarded 33 class scholarships and 4 two-month membership scholarships to 18 different recipients by way of the Maija Williams Scholarship Fund.
Currently, six recipients are enrolled in classes and one recipient is finishing their second two-month membership award! Recipients have been dipping their toes in the variety of classes that The Potters’ Studio offers. From Sculpting the Figure with Dan Clauson to Beginning Wheel with Lyra Dietrich and other beginner and advanced beginner classes with the wonderful instructors at The Potters’ Studio.
The Maija Williams Scholarship encourages continuing education and meaningful engagement with clay and offers up to a year’s worth of classes or membership. Many recipients are taking their third or fourth class at the studio this session!
The Scholarship is made possible by The Potters’ Studio’s generous community, Members, and supporters. We are excited to continue to grow the fund and expand access to ceramics for underrepresented populations at The Potters’ Studio.
