Workshop Registration Information & Policies
Our Workshop Schedule
Workshops and demos are publicized as visiting artists are confirmed, usually several months in advance of the actual workshop dates. You can find the latest workshop and demo information on our website HERE.
Exact dates for registration are announced on our website and through our Events Newsletter — sign up HERE. (We send a couple of Events Newsletters a month — we promise we won’t bombard you!)
What’s Provided and What to Bring
After you register for a workshop, we’ll share specific details about personal tools and any other items or materials you should bring. The Potters’ Studio provides access to all Studio tools and equipment you’ll need over the weekend, such as banding wheels, bats, or foam.
All workshops include clay for the workshop weekend and any glazes, underglazes, and other materials integral to the workshop curriculum. Should you want additional clay, you can purchase it at the Studio.
Most of our workshops include bisque firing of work completed over the workshop weekend. The Potters’ Studio will dry your finished greenware and bisque it within a month of the workshop.
On occasion, workshop curricula are fully focused on technical skills and/or creative exploration and/or very large pieces that need more than a single weekend to finish, making it impractical to bisque workshop pieces. We encourage participants in these workshops to take their in-progress work and leftover workshop clay home!
Unfortunately we are unable to ship fired workshop bisqueware to participants. You are welcome to make arrangements for someone else to pick up workshop pieces for you.
Registering for Workshops & Demos
When to register: Registration opens on a staggered schedule. Potters’ Studio Members and current Students can sign up a week before general public registration opens.
How to register: Register for a workshop or demo by sending an email to events@thepottersstudio.org. Please include the Visiting Artist’s name in your email.
How to pay: To complete registration for a workshop or demo, you must have an account with The Potters’ Studio. Create an account HERE.
You must register + receive an email confirmation from events@thepottersstudio.org + pay in full before attending. We do not offer post-workshop payment options.
Payment must be received in full no later than two weeks before the first day of a workshop or demo. Any unpaid registrations after this date will be cancelled and the spot offered to the next person on the waitlist.

Workshops and demos fill up quickly! We recommend emailing to register as early as possible after the registration opens.

Waitlists for Workshops & Demos
We maintain a running waitlist for all workshops and demos that sell out — everyone asking to sign up is automatically added to the waitlist once a workshop or demo is full. If spaces open up, we will contact people on the waitlist in the order they emailed asking to join a workshop or demo.
