STUDIO MEMBERSHIP
At The Potters’ Studio, we’re committed to a welcoming, creative environment that is safe and comfortable for all people interested in clay to learn and work. Membership fees contribute to the financial vehicle that allows us to support our Staff, offer extensive resources for our Members and Students, expand our Studio outreach programs, and continue The Potters’ Studio Mission. Membership includes access to all of our equipment and facilities.
ALL MEMBERSHIP STREAMS INCLUDE
24/7 studio access (after 1-month trial period)
Being part of a thriving community of local ceramics artists
Use of our throwing wheels, hand-building tables, damp room, etc.
Our staff fire your work in our numerous bisque & high-fire kilns (firing fees apply)
Free trainings for firing, making glazes, and equipment use
Use of the studio’s twenty cone-10 glazes, plus colored slips & stains
Access to studio slab roller, spray booth, extruder, grinder, etc.
18 different kinds of high-fire clay (clay fees apply)
Access to a fully stocked, well-ventilated glaze mixing lab + free training
A storage cubby for clay and tools + additional storage spaces available for rent
Members can sell their work in our gallery and participate in bi-annual Parking Lot Sales and annual Holiday Sale
Access to an extensive ceramics library
Monthly Members-only workshops on specific topics to help Members expand their clay knowledge
Members-only pre-registration and discounted rates for workshops/demos from visiting artists and studio classes with our expert teaching staff
Membership is offered on a sliding scale at the following levels:
Sustaining $210/month
The market rate that keeps the doors open and the lights on.
Supporting $250/month
A generating price point that helps create a more equitable community. Pay-it-forward and increase access to others in the community.
Supported $170/month
A below-market discounted rate to reduce financial barriers for marginalized/under-represented folks in our community (application process required and availability depends on how many community members come in at the Supporting level)

Please let us know a bit about your experience with ceramics. A prerequisite for Membership is intermediate to advanced experience with clay. If you are a beginner, we encourage you to start taking classes with us.
