Maija Williams was the beloved studio manager of The Potters' Studio for almost 30 years. she was committed to creating a supportive community environment focused on ceramics.
Maija’s influence and spirit have survived her, and The Potters’ Studio is committed to taking steps to keep her memory and legacy alive. With the support of Maija's two sons, we have created a scholarship fund in her name to increase diversity, support young people interested in exploring ceramics, and provide opportunities for underrepresented populations to explore all aspects of ceramics.
The Maija Fund’s full-tuition scholarships are for BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA+ people, and those ages 16-21 are especially encouraged to apply. You can re-apply and receive up to one year of classes. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis – fill out the form below to apply.
