Meet The Potters’ Studio’s New Director of Finance & Administration - TALI REICHER
Tali Reicher, our inaugural Director of Finance & Administration, brings a rich background in education, finance, and operations to The Potters’ Studio. Tali began her career as a classroom teacher and later became a teacher educator with the Department of Education at Mills College in Oakland. She eventually leveraged her economics degree from UC Berkeley to help businesses run more effectively and efficiently. At Envelope Architecture + Design, she was instrumental during the pandemic in guiding the firm through a transformative period that aimed to eliminate barriers to housing access. She demonstrated leadership in conceptualizing strategies to increase suburban housing density and provide well-designed emergency housing, exemplifying her adaptability, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership.
Tali’s leadership philosophy centers on collaboration, promoting a culture where every team member's contribution is crucial to collective success. Her action-oriented approach, influenced by her experiences in teaching, parenting, and mentoring, underscores her belief in the universal efficacy of strong leadership. As a consultant, Tali excelled in evaluating and optimizing business systems and software, helping companies enhance their operational workflows and productivity. Her professional ethos, which marries her career and personal philosophies, underscores a commitment to leadership, teaching, and life marked by understanding, empathy, and clear objectives.
Tali is currently pursuing CPA licensure, reflecting her dedication to ongoing learning and professional development. Her community engagement is deeply intertwined with her family, supporting her three (nearly adult) children’s educational and personal pursuits. Her hobbies include getting outside with her dog, Rosie, gardening, attending plays, comedy shows, and art exhibits, nurturing her friendships, and honing her gift for striking thrift store gold.
