WHAT’S AHEAD IN 2025
We are excited about what is in store for The Potters’ Studio for the upcoming year. There are new and exciting Workshops and Demos scheduled and there will be new Classes offered during the upcoming sessions. A few other changes are planned for the year so stay tuned and be sure to read future newsletters and the monthly Member News.
MEMBERSHIPS
Sliding Scale Memberships
In 2024, we launched Sliding Scale Memberships as well as Pre-paid Memberships. Our Supported rate is a below-market discounted rate to reduce financial barriers for marginalized/under-represented folks in our community. Our Supporting rate is a generating price point that helps create a more equitable community. This rate helps us increase access to others in the community. If you believe you qualify for Supported rate or want to become a Supporting Member by making a monthly commitment to pay an additional $40 to support another Member, send an email to memberships@berkeleypotterssstudio.org.
Annual & Multi-Year Memberships
We're giving all current Members the opportunity to lock in prices with the purchase of an annual or multi-year membership. We're excited to now offer 1, 3, and 5-year terms to support your pottery practice. Please note that these memberships are non-refundable, and as they're designed to ensure consistency in your creative experience. we’re unable to pause memberships or accommodate month-long breaks.
1-Year – $2,520. Includes 1 free 2-Day Workshop (excludes Soda Workshops)
3-Years – $7,560. Includes 3 free (one per year) 2-Day Workshops (excludes Soda Workshops)
5-Years – $12,600. Includes 5 free (one per year) 2-Day Workshops (excludes Soda Workshops)
Email memberships@berkeleypottersstudio.org to take up this offer. Your new term can begin as early as the January 2025 invoicing period (full amount will be added to your account to pay in January). Total payment must be made up front.
Change to Membership Breaks
We are committed to stable membership fees while continuing to provide the high-quality space and programs our community values. Starting March 1, the option to suspend membership dues for one month each year will no longer be available. This change will help us plan for operational costs, improvements, and the future of our thriving studio.
MURAL and TILE PROJECT
In the coming weeks, you will hear more about these two projects associated with the new building. If you are interested in participating in the creation of tiles for the new space or contributing ideas to the murals on the building contact cheryl@berkeleypottersstudio.org.
